Hello there. I am new to this forum. I am not really a collector, just love knifes. I recently bought a nice damascus-mastodon-folder from ebay. The auction said It is from the Mississippi maker RECATTO and bolster material is by world famous Robert Eggerling. And it wasn't cheap. I did my research unfortunately after the sale and found nothing about this Recatto. Does someone here knows something?
Here is the link of my knife:

I hope I didn't buy a crap. Looks pretty anyway.
Thank you all

that looks great, it has all the right materials and looks great, so if you like it then i guess it is a good knife.

Im a newb to the forum...but not new to knives...Ive never heard of him either....But a knife is worth what you want it to be...You desired it bad enough to pay that price then...hell yeah its worth it....unless of course you get it and it says made in Taiwan on the insert...then you would be hurting :)
It is a very nice piece though......hopefully when I get out of this tactical environment I can carry sweet nice pieces....the most expensive I'll carry here is a Mercworx sniper.....no fancy folders for now..hoaahh

Thank you both for your replies and encouragement. It hasn't come yet but I see it is US written on the blade. So I hope it's not a Taiwan junk. Yes, I wanted it much because it has everything I was asking for. The damascus, handle, size and especially blade shape. The very pointed, commando-like knives are not propper for my needs like camping, fishing, flaying, casual wood-workind.

Robert Eggerling is a respected maker of custom Damascus, but I can't find anything on the "Recatto" name.

It looks like a very nice knife, let us know when you receive it.
