I've been aware of Buck Knives since the 60's thanks to my older brother. Shamefully, I didn't jump on the band wagon until yesterday when I purchased my first Buck, that being a 110. Reading all the 110 posts pushed me over the edge. I'm going back today to get another one for my son, whose birthday is today. I get another later for my daughter on her birthday. I wish I had the money back on the other brand knives I've purchased to I could get more Buck products. Better late than never! Clearly old school is sometimes better than new school.

Welcome to the forum and Buck Knives, the 110 is a great choice. Buck knives has a knife for every taste. You should look into other Buck options as well.

Welcome Brian, you have been infected with Buck Fever and there is no cure. Just feed the symptoms. Glad you are getting the kids involved, my 14 year old daughter has 15 Bucks(several, I covet). Happy birthday to your boy.

brian, Welcome, I agree. Keep reading about the 110 as its been offered in soo many different configurations with up grade steels. That you may find another one you like. DM

You need to seriously consider joining BCCI (Life Member) and really save some money if you're into that many knives..
Works for me...

Hello Brian,

As said above, welcome to the Buck Forum! It feels like I just joined and am surprised at how fast the time has flown by. One thing I have learned over the years...is that you can never have to many Buck knives.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. My son loves his 110! It went in his pocket in 15 minutes and I know he has spent more time looking at it than using it.

well howdy ther pilgram!
brian as said there are lots of 110 's out there..
some of them are right diffrent .. but i look a tthem as folding hunters..
long as the folding hunter blade fits .. it is a folding hunter to me ...
some times dey gets a diffrent number on the blade
like the 560 .. once there was an entirely non back lock issue
it was a 110 blade cut off in the back so that a frame lock was used..
nothing in common wit a normal folding hunter ...
but in one issue it had 110 on the blade.. and nothing on it was interchangeable...
but again that is info ya will find out if you get hit with buck feaver real bad
and want to be a collector..
tell your son that there is a youth club ... that is if he is younger then 18 ..
and .. i invite you to try a one year membership to the BCCI .. its like less then 30 bucks...
