[Nate’s Knives]

So…my name is Nathan. In the world of knife making I’m relatively new. I started making knives 2 years ago. I didn’t intend to start but made one for myself for the deer woods and word got out after a friend sent pics to others. Now I’m taking custom orders to better refine and challenge myself. I’ve been getting some help by Jerry Fisk, MS, and Jaymes Stevens, JS as well as a few others. I don’t mind critiques but please bear in mind I’m still learning and not full time. For now it’s a hobby, nothing more.

Also if someone can elaborate on how to post pics, I can show a little of my journey.

Appreciate it. I try. Between working full time, watching the kiddos on the weekends while my wife works at the hospital, and taking college courses, knife making tends to be a “I’ll get to it when I can”…

The customer changed his mind. I’ll be using this maple curly burl wood instead to make the scales.

Shaping the scales. Starting to see it take shape. Think I’m going to darker with ferric then use some cold blue to darken it further.
