Hi guys.

My Shane Sibert Scout arrived a couple of days ago and it has replaced my wife as the one I hold of a night...go figure... :D

This is one hell of a knife! It will be a close companion for many years and has been dubbed my new Hike/Survival knife.

I had Shane complete a couple of changes to his standard offering.

1) Lanyard hole in the single guard.
2) 1/4" thick as opposed to 3/16".

6.5" Blade of CPM S30V.

The workmanship, attention to quality and general service that Shane offered on this transaction was second to none. And, to match a perfect knife to a perfect sheath, I chose Brian Wagner of Okuden Sheaths. Brian's work is equally 'perfect' and matches the Scout to a 'T'.

So, over the next few days, I am going to test the Scout out and will post photos in this thread of it's accomplishments. Here is the teaser.

Bones. I ordered direct thjrough Shane and it took about 11 months. I did hear a rumour that TAD may recieve a heap soon, however I do not know how back their backorders are.

One thing, you will not be sorry!

Thanks Guy !

UpDate :
Daily I check TAD,s web page the their New stuff-It,s show,s they had a
Silbert scout knife in but Sold it already-I going to call and remind them that I,m on the list for this knife.

I have my Scout in the same configuration as your's Gundy :) Great knife! Heavy enough to handle chopping but light enough to pack. Also it carries well on the belt on trails in sheeple country. Mine has served me well the last couple of trips out. It wasn't my 1st Sibert and sure ain't my last :D

okay, some teaser more photos before I scratch her all up!

I recieved the sheath that Shane sells with his Scouts a couple days back. Made by our very own Lifter (Dave Abramson).

Started to get my 'kit' together and will venture into the Aussie wilds on Sunday. Good times.

Sounds like it will do everything asked of it.I like it.Too bad it would take so long to get one, something you don't have to worry about it.It would also make a great "new movie" knife.

I Love Blood Grooves!!!!!
I Would Put Them On Every Knife I Own If I Knew How :d
