NEW MODEL OF THIS KNIFE AT BOTTOM OF THREAD

(This was last years post)
I am hiking up Mt. LeConte in a couple weeks and decided I needed a new knife to carry, so I made one. I'll bet noone can guess where the design came from (I'll give you a hint: it's W&SS Hero :eek:) It's 1095, black G10, with stainless guard and tubes. Sheath has yet to be made yet.
As much as most love to hate him, I did like the design of the knife...

Looks great! I don't know what it is about that design but I also find it very appealing. I'd love to see some pics of the sheath when you get it done.

I like it!

I guessed the design even before I opened your post from the pop-up when I passed the mouse over the title!

Nice knife!

Thats Sweet !!! once again 'Ol Bud you've done an Awsome job ;)
By the way, I'm still packing the "mini-reeder" & Loving it, Great knife
Thanks

Yep you guessed it! WSS heroes DOC CANADA and Will Ferrel joined forces to create this ultimate survival knife for when your living in the Land of the Lost, which coincidently is just like Canada.:D

Coaldigger - glad to hear the Mini-Reeder is still holding up!

Cool. You did a great job. I think the design is solid, escpecially in 1095.

Well, I am hiking up LeConte again and after giving last years "LeConte Knife" to my missionary sister in Africa, I made a new one for myself. This one is 440C, stabilized Black Ash Burl (dyed black). All other hardware is stainless as well.

Great work on both of those!

If it were me I'd like one in 0-1. It really is a very good design.

WOW!!! I like the 1st one better than the update, but thats just me....

Anytime you wanna increase your "overseas giving/support", i'm in Bosnia and one like the 1st in whatever steel you wanna do would be sweet!!! ;)

It's great to see so many skilled "every-day" folks. Nice work for sure.

That looks awesome. I love LeConte. Its about an hour away from my house. There are some real stoners that live up there.

LeConte is really beautiful! Not as high as Clingmans Dome, but a more "pointy" mountain - if that makes any sense..... too bad about the stoners - ya never know who's who...peaceful types or something else.
