Just like to take a moment to tell you guys yall have caused another victim in the searching flea markets and junk piles etc. Dragging em home and refurbishing, hanging on new hafts, sharpening and using etc. Got about a dozen various styles of axes and hatchets sitting on my hearth of my fireplace. It all started with my Dads old double bit Red Warrior. One of the most interesting activitys I have ever done. Must have carried over from the Boy Scout days about 40 years ago. Thanks guys...

I don't welcome more competition at the flea markets but since you're down south I don't think we'll be bumping heads. :D

And besides, whatever you save from being melted down for scrap might one day make it up this way.

Slewfoot, You're off to a great start, they done get addicting. You could have worst hobbies. I find great satisfaction working on vintage steel. I like to experiment with different ways to restore them. You'll find many great tips and how to's in this forum.

Enjoy you new hobby, my regards, Double Ott

EDIT: You'll have to share some pictures with us...We like pictures :)
