New home for my BK7

Beautiful 7, and a beautiful sheath. Man, I love that setup. It's perfect. Three thumbs up for you, Hawk.:thumbup::thumbup:

man every time I see that 7 I cringe at the thought of so much sanding done by hand, but sure worth the result...looks awesome with the new rig hawk!

First of all Skystorm's craftsmanship is impeccable and the design work that goes into his sheaths is well thought out. The 7 fits perfectly and securely. I prefer the handle of a larger knife like the 7 to ride at about mid forearm. The use of the dangler permits this. The whole rig is comfortable to wear and it is very easy to remove and replace the knife. Skystorm will also be the choice for my BK-9 when it is completed. I highly recommend him.

That 7 looks awesome. Did you change the grind or just knock the shoulder off?

The grind was changed to full convex. The BK-9 project, now on hold until I heal a bit more, will have a similar look to the blade, but not a convex grind just a convex edge. The handle will be greatly influenced by Nick Wheeler's custom knives. Not a copy just influenced.

How did you do the work on this knife? Was it hand sanding, dremil tool, belt sanders, ect,? It looks really nice. I would have kept the thumb ramp on it but its your knife but you still did an awesome job on it.

Did you use a polishing wheel to polish it? Did you use bee's wax or what?

I just saved the picture to my computer and with your permision I am going to post it on my facebook.

Magicut file, diamond files, polishing stone, 220-320-400-500 wet or dry oxide paper backed by an aluminum sanding block used with WD40.

I do not mind you saving the picture on your computer, but I do not give permission post to Facebook.

Thanks fellow knife enthusiasts for all the compliments, but this thread was actually intended to show my respect and gratitude for a fellow craftsman's work. When my BK9 is completed, it will be wearing a Skystorm sheath. I put an enormous amount of time and effort into the design and execution of the 7 and Skystorm puts forth the same effort into his work. I am proud to own this sheath for my 7.
