I had some free time today to make a pair of new grips for my 1911. Also, stippled the surface around the logo. :)

Great work! What is the material? How long did it take you?

I've only thought about this in passing as I have too many nice pairs I don't use now.

Thanks for the neat pics.

Hey, just a thought, you have so much custom stuff on your guns, you ought to get yourself a set of the Ed Brown hex head grip screws in stainless. They look 100% better than the slotted screws and no chance of buggering them up, or slipping out of the slot and hitting the grip. I think Brownells carries them, or you can buy direct. I have them in SS and blue, and change them depending on the grips I'm using. There are also Torx SS sets out there if you want that look.

Best,

Norm

Nice pictures, thank you

Svashtar - I did have some Ed Brown hex screws, but they got stripped. I made the panels from a set of extra polymer slabs from my parts bin. Took me about 3 hrs to make.

Yangdu - Thank you for the nice comments! :)

You sure did a great job on the grips! Nice photos as well! Thanks for posting!
