Hi all,

Just a quick update-

We closed on our new to us house on Monday. 2K sq ft and 1 acre. very old house with wide board pine floors.

I was diagnosed with celiac disease about a month ago. No more wheat, barley, rye, and oats are somewhat debatable.

Thankfully, we eat a lot of rice already, so the switch has not been terrible. I am starting to feel better, better than in a very long time. I was poisoning myself with the gluten protein, and didn't know it. i thought i was worn down, sleep apnea, or something worse.

I've lost 10 lbs ( that started about 3 months ago though, to reduce bp) and have more energy and optimism than i've had for years. I had resigned myself to just tough it out in life, but maybe i can do better!

My bp is down, and I'm off the lisinopril, and only on a water pill now. it helps with the lymph edema in my lower left leg.

Anyway, just wanted to catch you folks up.

Our new place is still a bt out in the country, but a little closer to church, and the same from work as now. Closer to some schools for the kids later on in life, and near a good looking gun range. Thankfully, I heard someone touch of a 22 nearby when i was at the house the other night. it would be great if we can shoot a bit in the back yard, after we move in.

Time to go shopping for my 9 year old, as his birthday is today. Tim's was last month, and he continues to do well. he is now 5. my oldest will be 16 this summer! drivers ed...

Thanks for your friendship, prayers, and good wishes! A busy time is ahead, but the Lord was kind to let me discover my condition now, so I can have more energy to make the move, and get the house ready.

Hope to check in more often!

Tom

Positive thoughts and prayers from the Shore Edge that the change in location brings a renewal in your health, and that you and the family enjoy living in a rural area. :)

Good to hear things are going well for ya, tom, and that you have your health under control. That is always a blessing in itself.
Wishing you the best!

What Kis and Yvsa said before me... it must feel good to get off the Lisinopril. Hoping to be there myself some day. Good luck and congrats on the house, etc. :)
