Looks like Leatherman has updated their nylon sheaths to include a snap, and lose the velcro. And they're even offering a small size which will fit the Juice models.

From their website:

And here's a video from the Shot Show:

Very nice! I miss the old riveted leather ones, but I like these way better than the noisy Velcro ones.

It looks like they kept the elastic sides that stretch out, giving them an effective lifespan of about six months. I'll stick with my thirty year old leather unit.

I think I'll stick to my 13yr old black leather sheath for my FUSE.

They really need to keep the PST in full production as well as bring back the FUSE, that slim rectangular format is a real winner.
Like a lot of people I don't view my Leatherman as a replacement for my toolbox so I don't need an ultra jam packed beefy model like the wave.

Ouch. I didn't catch that part. Can't figure out why they're so wedded to sub-par sheaths.

New sheaths are always a welcomed sight.
But is that a lift-the-dot type fastener i spot?
a combi snap button paired with
The new bristlesless hooked & looped velco
Would work just as well.
And a dual vertical/horizontal belt loop would be useful.
But i guess more feature means addition cost...

Because they can sell more tools when the sheath gives out and lets the tool fall out and become lost.
