New in the Khukri family

Say I'm new here in the H.I. group although I've been a Khukri fan for about 10 years. My first H.I. Khukri should be here any day now,(The Big 22" Ganga Ram) :D From all I have been reading It sounds like a lot of guys have really rallied around the Kamis over in Nepal and are giving them full support and encouragement. I'm guessing but with 17 guys working in the shop there must be close to 100 people being supported. I suppose I'm just continuing the cheering section here, but I just have to say I think its a great thing thats happening for those guys :)

Welcome! This is a great bunch of people, and I for one have sure learned a lot!

A Ganga Ram, huh? What a coincidence, I'm still trying to wipe the smile off of my face, I just got mine in the mail a couple of hours ago...

What a piece of steel.... Heh heh heh....:D :D :p The only complaint is that they shouldn't have even bothered with a belt loop, this baby will pull my pants down. :eek:

I need to go sweep up my garage, I've got wood all over the floor. I posted a couple of weeks ago about testing a Malla, and I thought that was big. The Malla would bite about 3/4 of an inch into a 2 x 2, the Ganga Ram went through it in 3 blows, and they were lazy swings! I'll bet with practice it would succumb to 1 swing....

I wonder if there are any deadfalls the city needs cleared...:D :eek:
 
Welcome to the Cantina. If you've been looking for the finest Khukuris' on the market you've come to the right place. I see you started BIG with the 22" Ganga Ram, you wont be disappointed. Uncle Bill is the best at what he does and stands behind his products. There's a good bunch that resides here. But I must warn you there's a bug that lurks around here, and once bitten you will have a uncontrollable urge to buy more of uncle Bill's Khukuris', so welcome aboard and enjoy.

Welcome,get ready to spend $$,relax,learn,have fun,& meet a great bunch of guys & Ladies!Also ,hope you have a quick wit,are not thin skinned & take none of the guff "personal"! You will never find such a ,knowledgeable,great bunch!

Welcome to the Cantina, Foxjaw! You'll find a literal wealth of knowledge with this bunch. I'm convinced that there is very little trouble you can get into that these guys haven't been in before in the realm of Khuks. We sometime deviate from the stated topic, sometimes we rant, rave, and froth at the mouth. In a nutshell, the HI forum is peopled with a great and very diverse bunch. NEVER BORING, that is for sure!

As to the GRS, I've got one by Durba that is 21" and 3 lbs. 4 oz. You'll love it-- I do mine. But it'll start an itch that'll need regular scratching, if you get my drift!

A GRS seems a great choice for the 1st HI khukuri. Many people including me have tried to make our first khukuri the final one. But it usually turns out to be ONLY the beginning. You'll wonder how you want your 2nd khukuri while fully enjoying your GRS...
 
Welcome, Foxjaw - Now I've got Khuk-friendly neighbors to the North and South :D Matthew (Longrifle) in Cincinnati, and now a Vol. How close to the line are you?
