I took a chance and ordered (probably) the last brand new Lignum Vitae Mnandi in existence ... And am I glad I did ... I hope I could capture the green tones, texture and grain.

As a bonus, the grinds and edge are absolutely perfect!

Here are a couple of shots with a little extra illumination, to bring out the beautiful grain:

Absolutely gorgeous. But question: is the first green one just the special lighting? Because that takes the cake as a unique L.V.

I flashed a Surefire on the lowest setting from the left side, to accentuate the grain and greens. The texture and sheen is also very hard to capture. It is certainly very unique!

NICE!! I am wanting a Lignum Mnandi or small Sebenza is a nice green. To me, Lignum is either beautiful or completely hideous. Yours in beautiful

There is some cracking green coming through in that knife. Lignum wood always oxidises to a green colour but it is a bit hit and miss as to the hues you get. That is indeed a rather nice piece, congrats. :)

In the shade the grain is not that obvious and it is not that colorful, but it has a very green hue to it, especially the front scale. Very different from anything else I have.

The best thing (which I cannot capture in pictures) is the sheen and texture. Some streaks are shiny, some are matte and the whole thing is very very smooth.

There is indeed some shimmer to a nice bit of lignum, impossible to capture with a camera though.
