Just wondering why new Infidel blades do not include the nsn or patent info? Got new D2 DLC blade replaced in only 2 weeks including mail time! Very very happy with products and service but now I dont have a matching pair:0( poor me I know, but I was hoping/expecting replacement of same, thats all.

Love them either way! You've got a customer for life!

p.s. BKC can you incorporate a gps tracking chip imbedded in handles incase we drop em?

Don’t know what an “nsn” is, but the Axis lock patent has expired so they don’t use it anymore.

Are they still in the NSN system? If so, not sure why the NSN number would disappear. But if they are no longer carried in the system, then they probably aren't allowed to have an NSN number on them.
For Babyboomer, I think NSN stands for National Stock Number. Anything that is issued, approved for issue, or able to be purchased through Federal stock has an NSN. Otherwise, I think things are purchased COTS (Commercial Off-the-Shelf). But I think a product has to go through the acquisition system of purchasing in order to get approval and be stocked.

Thanks I hadn’t considered that they might have expired. I was guessing it was some way to differentiate between Federal and civilian customers for mailing or warranty service. I liked it for additional authentication points when purchasing but I guess the fakers can print it just the same....I checked and it
looks like Infidel McHenry patent is good thru 2027.....and still an active nsn.?...

Benchmade stopped putting the patent numbers on their knives a few years ago, now they just put the benchmade.com/pat on the blades of all their knives.

I'm not sure about the NSN, maybe they just put it on federal sales? That's just speculation on my part.

OMG, I’m such a moron! I read your post on my phone and the picture must not have loaded when I replied. I had the Bedlam on my brain when you were talking about the Infidel! Sorry about that ... geez.
