New Izula Handles?

I would not buy the Izula if it had handles. I love the feel of the paracord wrap! Plus if you need some paracord in a pinch you have some on the handle!
 
I believe the Izula handles will be optional scales that you can put on your existing knife.

I am almost positive this is the case.

Although I really doubt they have a time table set for these.
 
They did say that it will be an option and sold seperately from their knives. Well for those who say you need paracord in a pinch?? the izula handle wrap is done with roughly 55" of paracord. If you make a lanyard that is braided you will end up with approximately 60-70" so basically the same amount of cordage plus i will have the handles.

I love my wrapped Izula too, but you cant beat that Micarta! (assuming that's what RAT will be using.)

LMAO! All that and then some... and it might have something to do with the RC-5 coming had everyone pee'ng down their leg to the point that Shon Rowen probably has drum beaters in the basement and handing out No-Doze on an hourly basis trying to keep up! :D When they finally ran out of sheaths those poor people probably threw a THANK GOD We Can GET 8 Full Hours of Sleep party.

This place is killing me. Here I was yesterday looking at a little Tops Wolf pup with the micarta handles and now I see this!!(RAT didn't have anything that small with handles)

Just when I think I'm content RAT pulls me back in. Sorry for ever doubting you RAT.

I'm off to find the best deal on a Izula...and try to decide which color.

Hell NO! Thats when Shon started to get caught up making the RC-3's, 4's, 6's, and Izulas!
 
The handles seem pretty big actually. If the handle scales RAT puts out for the Izula are that thick I might pass on it.
 
I doubt they'd be that thick. They'll probably ride level with the sheath.
 
As some of you may have read, I was having trouble finding an Izula at an affordable price... well the one from the link in the first post is now mine :D

I know the handles aren't to everyone's taste but I have a feeling it's going to make the knife much more comfortable in use (have to guess because I've not handled a non-handled Izula), and I have to say I'm extremely happy that I managed to get a) any Izula b) an 'improved' one c) at a lot less than a new one would have cost :)

Actually I'm jumping the gun a bit, I don't have it yet; it'll be here in a day or two... I'm just excited and had to share :p

If anyone has any questions on it, I'll be glad to answer when I get it or forward any 'how to' questions to the modder :)
 
No time line on the handles yet. It really is not on the front burner right now. HEST and a couple of other things already in production are eating up time right now. I will holler when we get to it. Mike

I made some myself for my two Izulas.. I couldn't wait any longer. I chewed a bunch of bubblegum and coated the handles and stuck them in the freezer.

They look sweet!
