My wife has been very supportive of my passion for shooting and collecting knives but it was until she she saw the pink Izula in a magazine that she said she wanted one herself. So I got a her a pinkie with full kit and soon replaced the factory sheath with a nice pink kydex one, and she was set to go.

Being a Bussekin guy, I tried to talk her into a Swamp Warden refinished in Pink, BUT NO. She now calls her Izual PUZZY (Pink Izula). She has also discovered duracoat and is asking for the frame of her Bersa Thunder Pistol to be refinished in the same pink, and yes she has a permit to carry concealed, so at times they both go in her handbag.

I was very impressed with her PUZZY (I hope that this not an infraction) and now have one for me - so here we go, another probationary RAT.:rolleyes:

Remember, don't let it get to far...pink guns just hurt my eyes, there's too much pink in the world sometimes. :D Great to hear that she got somehow converted to knife carrying, it often really depends on the color whether girls like something or not. A pink Izula is on my shoppinglist, but I think it's not going to get a name. Great to see you also got yourself one of those great lil' knives, there'll be more ESEEs to come.

Thats awesome that she wanted one for herself! So far I've only managed to get my gf to carry a purple Spyderco Ladybug. :o

You guys have it easy. My fiance won't even consider a knife that looks sheeple friendly because to her it looks like a wuss' knife.
Great thing that she wanted one on her own.

At the moment i have no gf. But a friend i hang out with a lot doesnt like knives at all. She does understand however the uses of it as a tool.

only one solution there.....;
Get her a Junglas and and a Lite machete :D

Great to that she carries! Hopefully she is an advocate to all of her female friends!

Thanks guys, I feel blessed with my wife. She is not like my first who frankly used to ask me questions like "is it loaded?" "why do you need another knife?" My response used to be "the same reason you need another handbag or a pair of shoes" They were fun days ... I'm sure some you guys have been there too. LOL!

My wife is the daughter of policeman with over 36 years service and he was good enough to teach her a great deal about guns including the responsibility of using deadly force - there is a God!

lol you are blessed.. i love my wife, i really do but she came from a family (conservative) but with no guns in the house. so frankly she is scared of them. well she shot her first pistol (9mm ruger) a few days before we got married. it was hilarious but scary. long story short she had a great grip at first but as soon as that trigger was pulled her wrist went limp and she screamed at the top of her lungs.. i grabbed the pistol from her quickly after that then LMAO. she has not touched one since.. i do want to get her started on a .22 rifle though. i think she will enjoy popping cans. then slowly work her up.

however she does like to fish so its not all bad.

My wife has a pink Izula and a pink ka-bar Dozier. We are going to be taking firearm training in the next few months, no clue what that will bring! I am sure pink will be in the theme somewhere lol

My GF is exactly the same. I am sure if I would be buying a gun for her, her first question would be: Does it come in pink? :D

For the gun refinishing, check out Hoosier Gun Coat. They have several good reviews over at Rimfireforums.com, and They have a few pics of guns refinished in pink as well. Also fairly good pricing.

As much as I dislike orange, I am glad that the Mrs. isn't a pink kinda girl.

I can use her knives in public and only get semi-weird looks.
