I'm looking into getting a boot knife in New Jersey. I can't really make sense of the knife laws I've been looking at on the subject so I'm coming here for help. Would it be considered a concealed weapon? If so does that mean it can't be legally carried at all or do the same restrictions apply? I'm just kind of confused on the subject. Any help would be appreciated.

To my experience, Law Enforcement will consider anything in a boot concealed. They will consider any knife in a boot as a 'fighting' knife.

I carry a Cold Steel Kobun in my boot, but I live in Ga., where it is legal.

If you really want to get the low-down on NJ Law than you need to contact Evan Nappen. Evan is not only a lawyer, he is a certified Knife Knut and he lives in NJ!
