I have a simple question that I can't answer by reading the knife laws, IF I CARRY A SINGLE EDGE HUNTING KNIFE THAT HAS A 9 INCH BLADE INTO THE WOODS, across a water way by boat and into a swamp to my hunting spot am I breaking any laws, also I have a 7 INCH HUNTING KNIFE THAT IS ALSO SINGLE EDGED, that I would take to the same spot . I live in New Jersey and would like to know if theses knives are legal , ALSO I WOULD BE BRINGING THESES KNIVES FOR THE INTENTION OF HUNTING NOTHING ELSE. Thank you

then your good....i know that for fact ( if you dont believe me, look it up )....you can read everything written about NJ laws in ten mins...they specifically say that a blade is to be open carry and only allowed if being used for a good reason....they even give an example that hunting is a good reason. ..even tradesmen in nj are allowed to strap on a knife and tote it around, its just that If a cop wants to be all testy with you, make sure you look like your accually DOING that thing your claiming to be doing to need a knife on your hip....concealed is never allowed im preety sure... The length of knife is only mentioned once pertaining to sales in the state...no requirements state wise on length in posession ,,,,,
