It's a dragon.

"This Spear Point Bowie is based on a collaboration of Bill's <Moran> designs. The blade is 9" forged from 5160 steel with a hand-rubbed finish, scalloped choil and top swedge. The guard and threaded pommel are nickle-silver with file work accents. The handle is Curly Maple with a throat of Hippo Ivory and a nickle-silver spacer. The handle is inlaid with silver wire in a "dragon" motif on both sides. The knife is 14 1/4" overall and comes with a tooled leather blade sheath has a "dragon" carving matching Bill's design."

I thought it was a dragon, but it looked a bit like a snake as well. Anyway, it's a good looking knife.
