ok, so i've been out of work for a while, was working with whirlpool but left fairly quickly due to a breach of trust with management, HR, and their onsite medical crew. Then my Mother in law fought with everything she had to the bitter end against the cancers that took her from us in november. since i wasnt working i was her errand boy and what not. This last week i was looking through the classifieds and found something not spectacular, but it deffinately beats all the free time. So in the course of one week, i've applied, interviewed a number of times and today finally was offered the position. I this tuesday. So my question is, (since i have the E&E wallet in the mail on it's way) Should i go wih the 5, or the junglas?

thanks for reading,

Akuma.

Congrats on the new job and sorry to hear about your mom in law...

My honest opinion would be to wait a few months and make sure the job is stable before making a purchase... I assume you've gotten by with the knives you have already so another few months shouldnt matter... then, BUY BOTH :D

Been in shoes buddy, glad you found something is this tough economy. Treat yourself to something small with your first paycheck, to cheer you up, but save up for awhile till you know its something stable. BTW what will you be doing.

Congrats on your new job! Being in your position and just starting a new job, maybe holding off a couple months on a new blade might not be a bad idea? I'm not sure if you've seen pics of it, but ESEE is coming out with a new blade in early summer called the Laser Strike, it's about the same dimensions as the 5, but 3/16" thick and a slightly different shape. The 5 is a great knife and my favorite, but not for everyone. The Junglas is a hog slaying, all out great piece of work and great to use, but the ESEE Lite Machete can do the same exact thing for much less money. If this might be your first ESEE your looking into getting, you could look into a 3 or a 4 and a Lite Machete for about the price of a Junglas.

lol, yeah it wont be in the first or second check, but they'll be coming.
job is with a fabric company, Fabricut, working in the warehouse, making and sending out sample cuts to individuals and companies that request them. they said they send out some 6,000 to 10,000 samples a day.

The founders of the company met and became friends while escaping nazi germany,
looking foward to learning THAT story lol.

Thank you all for the well wishes.

Fabricut looks like a haute Company. Global organization with some very innovative fabric lines...very Classy website. Looks like a superb company and they believe in employee ownership. Congrats
