I've waited a long time to get my Junglas and it finally arrived today. It's everything you'd expect from a hard use knife in the 10" blade category.

I found the handle to be roomy and comfortable with the canvas Micarta scales. The blade is evenly coated and honed razor sharp.

The sheath I'd heard was excellent but it really exceeded my expectations by a long shot.

IMHO this isn't just a super high quality "large knife" but a very high value package. I had to take a few whacks at a nearly petrified chunk of apple tree log. It's kid brother (my EDC) is in the foreground.

I just love my Izulas, RC3-MIL, RC-4 and now the Junglas. :D

To me, this THE big knife out there right now.

Nice job Rowen and ESEE!

You are absolutely right, this knife really is a steal!!
My only regret was holding off on getting one.

I have a new Buswhacker Mistress and this came sharper from the box and with a very nice nice sheath system. Other than liking the G-10 on the other, I'm seeing the Junglas as able to hold it's own with any of the other "big blades" out there. Another hit for ESEE. :)

Here I sit on my day off doing some stuff for my part time job. Would a little Junglas purchase kill me? I mean, I just sold 3 knives I don't use any more. :D

I've read some opinions that the Junglas isn't weight forward or blade heavy enough for a chopper in some opinions. What do you Junglas owners think?

Mine arrived today too. Can't exactly use it yet, though. Not much for wading in water to get to wood.

Grats on the new blade, though.

It's pretty darn cool huh?

Don't worry about that water. The Junglas will cut right through it.:D

Can't wait to see some pics of yours.

It makes a great chopper! Don't believe the naysayers. I have dropped several fist sized trees with two swipes.

You won't be disappointed.

I didnt pre-order the junglas, tried to order on the 12, shipped the next day, will have it next week.. what i am wondering the most is "How am I gonna carry this baby".. Belt with leg strap (didnt had much succes in the past with leg strap.. annoys me a lil)

how do you carry it on your person ? (beside on your backpack.. )

funny fact:
My option was to order at 168$ from the US to Canada with 5$ shipping
option #2 was buying it locally for 215$.. sheesh!

Congrats on your new Junglas! I couldn't be any more happy with mine either, it's one hell of a blade that can easily hold it's own against any other chopper out there.

1000th Post!!! OOH-RAH
