I got this last week and although I loved the balance of the knife and the cool composite blade the clip was eating at me. After seeing what it looked like clipped in my pocket (kind of Goth) I was thinking about returning it when I decided to tweak the clip just a hair. About 3 minutes on the grinder made it a little less obtrusive to me:

I still need to even out the curve and then polish it but I think it came out okay and doesn't look like it's been butchered. Very cool knife--I really like the weight of the blade.

looks great. did the same with mine last year. shortened it a little also. great knife, not so great clip.

Thanks! I thought about shortening this one but didn't want to lose the upward bend that makes it so easy to slip into your pocket.

Did you put another bend in yours when your shortened it? That would be perfect.

The clip is the one thing keeping me from droppin' a dime on one. I did see a mod where a ZT clip was added with a tap and die set. Looked like it belonged there from the start.

I did a clip mod on my ti JYD too. I ground off most of the point you still have on yours. I left just enough to bend up to go in the pocket. I took mine up to about 3/8
below the bottom hole on the clip. It's Much better IMO than the factory clip.
