I recieved my JYD II in the mail today and I am very impressed with the quality and f/f for a knife that only cost $50.00. It is probably at the LARGE end of the scale for an edc knife, but I think I'm going to like it.

My JYDII is the easiest, and fastest opening knife I own; it's hard to rotate it out as my primary EDC. Enjoy yours.

Good buy, Akula! You will find that once you carry a larger knife, that soon everything else seems too small. ;)

Every RAM Ive tried hasnt opened consistantly, but I think its just me. I wanted so bad to have a RAM (love the design and mechanics), but the opening issue, coupled with the "forced use" choil that doesnt fit my hand broke my heart.

On the other end of the spectrum, I bought the JYDII, and said wow, this is a big knife. Then i realized it carried really well, and then I realized it fits my hand perfectly....now its frequently carried, and will be getting a new tip up clip once I get all the knives together that need to go to STR...I'll probably buy another so I can mod the CB I have.

Wow. Most people I show the RAM to think it's assisted.

It's also a never-ending source of entertainment for me to see if I can push the flipper slow enough to not lock the blade open.
(I know, I know...I have no life.)

Maybe I just got a good one?

I don't think so. I have four. They all open faster then most
of my AO's.

Agreed, I think if anything it would be the other way around. I think the rare JYD II would be the one that DIDN'T open fast as lightning!;)

......unless of course you've been diagnosed with a rare condition known as "flipper finger retardation":D

Just placed an order for a JYDII too, but the composite variant..

The last two Kershaws I've bought have had issues so pulled the trigger a little hesitantly. Well see how well Kershaw plays the D2 game. :)

I am liking this knife more and more each day I carry it. Sitting down with it in my pocket watching the Steeler game on Sunday however left no doubt it was there when I would lean forward or shift around to get comfortable. I like the pocket clip but prefer to let my shirt cover it up.

I like the clip too, but to take your post one step further, I prefer to let my shirt cover up ALL of my pocket clips:D
