Has anyone seen these or handled them? Looks like a Becker Necker, steel is not the best and the sheath looks cheaply made. Wondered if anyone has got thier hands on one yet. Price is low, wondering about quality.

Didn't see Remora,

Becker Remora

440A Stainless, around 1 inch shorter and $18 cheaper than the Becker Necker. :)

They had a lot of success with the Chinese Remora that shipped with the BK7 and BK9. This is the upgrade, and for a knife this size the sheath and steel are just fine. The chinese version sharpened to a razor, and is great for fuzz sticks and fire prep tasks. It would make a great last ditch survival blade ala the RSK5 or Buck Harstook/Smidgen.

Is the Remora a US made knife? Does anyone know if it does or will have scales or a handle available?

OOPs just read on a website, it's made in USA.

The Becker Remora is a US made knife, made by KA-BAR in Olean, New York.

It's a very well made knife, at a very good price, and they're available now at Tomar's and other places.

The original Chinese made Becker Remora was really more of a test run, and was a big hit. Ethan Becker likes all his knives to be US made, and production for the full release was moved to the KA-BAR factory in New York.

You can't go wrong with this little gem.
