Ka-Bar "Big Easy" Slip Joint Folder

I got all excited when I first saw this on their site. Then I saw it is 440A. This video in the mfgrs. forum (1-29-13) says it is 8cr13mov.

So, I wonder which it is. I also read somewhere on here that the 8cr is more like 440C than 440A. Heck if I know. If true, that would bring back some of the excitement.

Anyone else interested in this?
 
It definitely looks nice. All the sites selling it list it as 440A so that's what it probably is.
 
I love that knife.......can't put a edge on 440a though so I won't get one....
 
If the retail price does turn out to be 30$ish, that seems pretty fair for 440a steel and a micarta handle.

I don't really like 440a as it doesn't hold an edge as well as I like, but it does take an edge with absolutely no effort and is easy to maintain.
