OK, it seems that they can still be found without paying $150 plus. I just got one of two that I ordered a few days ago with assurances that the other will follow shortly. Some one still has a stock of them some where I suspect.

Now, here's an interesting observation (at least to me). The 419 wasn't shown in the 2010 catalog nor was it listed in the price list. The knife I just received has the 2010 date stamp and the box label has a born on date of 12/13/2010. :confused:

They must be doing small runs for people who order a sufficient number, just as they do with the supposedly discontinued 120.

I didn't think they'd be doing that because it's a complex design and seems like it would be too labor intensive and expensive to gear up for small runs of these knives.

Oh well......we learn something new every day, it seems.

Although it is out of the catalog, we will run models until we are out of parts or sometimes a retailer is authorized to keep buying it...
