Please make welcome our new Kami to our Shop in Nepal. You will find a copy of his picture sent to me. His name is Ram Bahadur Vishwakarma. He is from the Bhojpur area. He comes with five years experince knife making at the British Camp at Dharan. We are looking forward to seeing his work and hope you will appreciate it.

I wonder if he will bring any new regionalistic khukuri stylings from Bhojpur?

That would be very interesting... it will be very interesting anyways. Everyone has strengths, artistic and otherwise.

That looks like a lovely pile of JKMs at Ram's feet. Here's hoping ... haven't seen one on the DOTD for a while.

I'm really looking forward to Ram's style. While I continue to be very impressed by the HI product lineup, one of HI's strengths is giving kamis a chance to strut their own stuff, hammering their own style, personality, and craftsmanship into one-off designs for lucky folks like us. Diversity is a good thing, especially when each of the items are top-drawer quality.
