While gewtting some black rust speck of the katana, decided it was about time to take the oversized wood handle down even with front and back bolsters. Had put this off because of the metal rivets thru the handlle. Within a week of work at the computer ( sanding or filing while I sat and stared at msgs. ) I'd gotten it sanded and filled for staining.

It really is a new katana in my hands. Nothing like the rolling pin I used to have to hold onto. NOW, I enjoy it immensely. Can't keep my hands of the handle like I used to play with certain parts of my wife's ....

dont need a digital camera to post pics....I dont have a digital camera either but still am able to post pics....you do good work with your handles and have seen them I think others would like to see'em too...slap that baby on your scanner if you have one, you will not scratch it unless your careless...Your the Co-Moderator H. I. Forum

Besides, needs staining and finishing. In meantime am getting the hickory handle of my Assegai Spear prepared so it too can be stained and finished. It's 58" overall, so it's short and handy, almost fits behind the truck seat.

The guy whose wife and mom used to have the flower shop and pet store, and he filled in when he wasn't doing gunsmithing. My wife used to send me flowers, and he'd deliver them. ( There's something about your gunsmith bringing you flowers... )

My CCW only has 4 guns listed ( not including duplicates ). His license is unlimited. It's all true!
