While gewtting some black rust speck of the katana, decided it was about time to take the oversized wood handle down even with front and back bolsters. Had put this off because of the metal rivets thru the handlle. Within a week of work at the computer ( sanding or filing while I sat and stared at msgs. ) I'd gotten it sanded and filled for staining.
It really is a new katana in my hands. Nothing like the rolling pin I used to have to hold onto. NOW, I enjoy it immensely. Can't keep my hands of the handle like I used to play with certain parts of my wife's ....
