New kid on the block saying hello.

Those are some great looking knives I think! The simple but still detailed craftsmanship is something that I really appreciate in a knife!

Hey guys,
So I'm extremely new to this and I've been trying to decide if I want to peen or use other methods of securing the scales. Could yall please post some pics of what you've done with all types. I'm just wanting to see what they look like before I commit.
Thanks

Peen as in use pins? I epoxy mine and then use pins, and yes I very carefully peen them out to make them secure...if they aren't secure enough.

My fear of peening is that I'll botch it and the pin won't look nice and round. I want something more than just epoxy. I just don't know if I want to use brass pins and peen them or use rivets that screw in

I wouldn't use rivits personally, but post that question on shop talk to get help. I have not ever had a problem using epoxy and pins, and most of the time I don't have to peen them, and the epoxy helps keep the pins in too.

Nic, so you just epoxy them in and file/grind them down flush to scales. Like I said I'm new to this and just trying to get it figured out somewhat

I see a lot of stuff you are doing RIGHT and nothing it seems wrong! Very nice looking knives, hope to see ya' around!
