If you need a four inch blade of .17" A2 to cut your steaks, maybe you should get a better cut of meat.

It seems like these aren't your typical kitchen knives you're looking for, what do you plan on doing with them?

tired of the old cheap kitch steak knives,,am looking for good quality high presentation steak knives,,

A set of these Busses makes for a very nice set of steak knives :D
Tiger hide micarta handles!
(unfortunately, may be a challenge to get a whole set).

For a "good quality high presentation steak knife" look to Randall Made Knives.

Of course it may take a while to collect them, unless you can find a dealer who has some in stock.

What about one of these from bigoode.

He also makes a Tactical Butter knife with a rounded point that would work well also.

A2?
INFI?
You want 'em to be trying to cut that steak all night? Man up and get some real table cutlery.

Dinner conversation may be a bit tough though.:D

I got a nice set of Laguilole (I am probably spelling it wrong) steak knives from france and they look good and have held up great for several years. I believe Zikar makes some really nice steak sets as well.

If price is no option then a Chris Reeve Mnandi (more spelling mistakes?) would be perfect.

That is surely the way to go.....but like mentioned above it may take you a while to get a whole set. Best bet is to check out the exchange...

Ever wonder why 'steak knives' usually have serrations?
It’s because most plates are some form of ceramic, kinda like a sharpening stone.

You might want to take one of your EDC's and cut some food on a ceramic plate or, {gasp} a glass cutting board, and monitor the results to your edge.

If you normally cut your steak at a 20 degree angle while sitting at the table, a set of straight edge EDC's should work for you.;)

I really like the kitchen cutlery from B.GOODE. VERY nice. I think our steak knives are a set of partially serrated ones from Tramontia. They're not the best, but they're decent looking & work well enough.

If you want nice, check out the William Henry line of kitchen and steak knives.

Edit: I'd still buy relatively inexpensive serrated steak knives, unless you're just getting these for fancy guest dinners you'll find resharpening almost every time you use them to be a pain.

also the blade would have to be as thin as possible ,,out of the ones listed above im guessing the busse would be the thinnest ?

I doubt the WH set would run much more than 4 of those busses. I'd recommend actually checking out the high end Victorinox steak knives, you can find them at knifecenter, around 200 for a set of 4 knives, you can get them in plain edge or serrated. They're quite good looking too, with integral bolsters.

Edit: okay, so the WH's are 2 grand a set :foot:
