Last Thursday or Friday i got a call from the manager of a local knife shop. He said there was a guy there wanting to sell a 123OT. The manager wanted to know if I wanted it or knew what it was worth.
I told him to to offer the guy $25 and I would reimburse him for it. The guy took the $25, but my friend decided that he wanted $40 for the knife. I had consulted with one of my forum friends to see what it was worth as none had sold recently on ebay. He had said $50-$80 was a ballpark amount.

When I got to the store today I saw the knife and I would have paid $40 for it easy. It is such a great fit in your hand at 4 inches as opposed to the much larger 5-1/4 inches of the 125OT. The 123OT is a nice size for the pocket and lays nice and flat. I ended up trading my the manager a Kershaw that i had picked up on sale for $24. So I got the knife for $1 less than I had committed to, and my friend will make a bundle on the Kershaw.

Another happy win-win knife trade. :D  :D

First - Congrats! Another nice grab.

Second - What in world is a "knife shop"? :) We had a Hoffritz here at the mall about 20 years ago. (Than again, Maybe its better that there isn't one near by.)

Its my favorite folder!
Now you need the 124UH to go with it!
I know, it never ends does it.
Great trade too.

Dale,
That model is a little scarce, lately!
You might have had a tough time getting one for $25 off eBay,but a REAL friend wouldn't have jumped the price that much on another friend.
I remember last winter you picked me up some old inventory Schrades at good prices and shipped them for what it cost you. Now,that's what I consider a friend!

PS - May still get to Oregon this summer if I can get my - - - - together.

Come on out Ron.......you may want to bring some cool weather with you. It has been hotter than blazes here the last couple weeks.
