So i got a new (old/used) knife and alot about it are somewhat strange to me.

first off the pin that goes through the rear bolsters goes over the spring rather than through it.

Second off the blades are "crinked" (atleast i think thats the right word for it) even though both blades open from the same end.

third, the main blade has a "drawn swedge" (again if that's the right word for it).

(swedge side)

(other side)

Ok, now for some tang shots

so anyone know anything about this knife and brand? also i found that somehow by accedent (after i had taken these pictures) i had somehow bent the tip. ofcourse i bent it back and it seems fine, but i was wondering if that is because of poor heat treatment or because of the thinness of the tip area (or both).

Thanks,
Scott

I'm not sure your blades are crinked (bent to pass another blade), but simply swedged only on one side. If they are truly crinked, it is probably because they are the same blades used in another pattern that does require crinking. It's pretty common for production knives to use the same parts for as many knives as possible.

well they are ground more on one side, the picture didnt turn out as well as it looked on the camera though... so you cant really see that. but they look to be ground similar to knives with blades at both ends rather than just one. and yeah, i figured it was probably just blades used on another knife, still just found it interesting.

Thanks,
Scott
