Recommendation? New knife and steel

Today I got my Spartan
DIFENSA

web page and my invoice says S35VN but my blade is marked S45vn. Should I be happy with the S45vn ? Never used it

S45vn is a upgrade as far as blade retention.

Hell, if they sent me a Difensa in AUS-8 I'd be giddy.

I'd give them a call. Might be some sort of limited run or such.

Second thought.... don't... they might want it back.

it's an upgrade, but mostly because they tend to harden a little higher than s35vn... @Larrin has a full write up

On their website, the first picture looks like S45VN marked on the blade. The description says S35VN, so likely they switched over to S45VN at some point.
