I purchased a very nice and excellent condition Large Regular Sebenza. I have two Small Regular Sebenzas, but man this is really nice. I know forever there has been talk about the lockup on Sebenzas and this one seems to have a late lockup, but it doesn't have any issues disengaging so I think it should be fine, your thoughts? I know a trip to Idaho would make it right should something happen down the road. Very smooth also.

Very nice Sebenza.

All of the research that I have done indicates that the lock up on your Sebenza is perfectly normal, and will probably stay right as it is for years to come.

Sweet looking sebenza......There's just something about the regulars that set them apart from all the rest. Enjoy!!!!

Anthony that is what I wanted the sheath for - the new Large Regular Sebenza
I already have a black one, but I wanted a tan one and you came thru... thank you!

That sure is a great find! Late lockups on CRK's are perfectly normal, and they don't appear to move noticeably over time or cause any problems unless the lock-side scale is out of spec.

Great knife, congrats. Yes, the late lockup of the Large Regulars is a very common thing. With me owning more than I would rather say, lol. Late lockup is a fact with these knives and as long as there is no actual lock stick it is common. I actualy spoke to a gentleman that worked at CRK for just under 10 years and he explained to me that the knife is actually stronger with the later lockup. He got really technical and then I began thinking about how cool of a job that would of been so I got kind of lost, :). But he was a man that really knew and worked on hundreds of them and swore that having a later lock makes the lockup actually stronger.
Love that blade, enjoy it brother!
