FedEx just dropped off my new Joel Chamblin "Delta III" today. CF scales, Ti bolsters, 440V blade, and beautifully executed! A big thank you to Les "do your homework" Robertson for making this possible, and to Gus (who also recommended Joel's work to me)!

Here is a link to a pic on Les' site:

Good purchase! One of Joel's knives sits in my collection. I've seen a number of his knives over the years and they were all first class.

In my opinion, Joel is one of the most (if not THE most) underrated custom makers I've come across. I have two of his damascus folders and they are absolutely superb...no doubt Joel gets a Robertson "seal of approval"...LOL

He is a super nice guy and one of those makers that is true sole authorship.

Cant say enough about Joel and Sandy. Wonderful folks. I am more into his slipjoints and Wharncliff's, but I have enjoyed seeing his work for a while now. I met him at a show Les and Bob put on in a downtown Atlanta Ramada, if I am not mistaken, several years ago and have been impressed with him and his work since then.

There are so many good folder makers out there. The decision can be hard, but Joel's work is a great start and will provide a fantastic point of reference for you should you decide to pick up others along the way.
