Jack Wolf Knives is a new knife company out of Arizona. They are going to be making traditional knives with modern materials. Like Lionsteel, etc. It looks like they are producing prototypes now. M390 steel, titanium liners/bolsters. It's always good to have more knife makers out there!

Here are some of their designs. What do you guys think!?

Interesting! I always like seeing more companies move into this space. Thank you for sharing. :)

That said, these are "established company with an impeccable reputation for quality" prices, not "new company who doesn't disclose the manufacturer of their knives" prices. We're in the ballpark of WE, Reate, and lionSTEEL, and more expensive than LS and WE; for that kind of money, I'll stick with a known quantity.

Looks great, I like the idea of m390. A bit pricey compared to lionsteel. Regardless of price more knife makers is good for everyone.

Looks good! I like the use of modern materials on classic designs. List prices are imho a little too high but given they’re all out of stock it appears that’s not the case.

I think I saw on FB these are being manufactured by Reate.

Nice looking products. Does not seem to be carving out a unique place in the industry.

I'm always looking for new and older knives, these seem like a good quality but I wouldn't buy one because of the price and even though they draw all their knives in AutoCAD at their shop in Scottsdale, Arizona the knives are manufactured elsewhere and most likely off shore.

They need REAL PHOTOS of their product . Anybody can make drawings . I did not look at every one of their knives , but the ones that I did were all the same price . That indicates to me that they do not know their costs . If they do not know their costs to make them , IMHO they will not be in business very long . They are priced above what I am willing to pay .

After seeing what you can get from lionsteel for less than 150 in m390, i dont see how a slipjoint could be any better or warrant another $100++ unless we're talking vintage or custom. I hope this company can find a spot in the market because more options are always good.

M390 and titanium liners isn’t worth a $150 price increase in my opinion. There are plenty of excellent quality knives in the $125 and less category. At $275, I’d expect a handmade knife, and definitely not offshore outsourcing.

On a positive note, I do like a lot of the patterns and sizes. They know how to make things appealing to the eye, and most of them are time tested patterns. I hope they figure out manufacturing and get the price down to where folks can afford them.

I don't want to jump on the bandwagon and bash a new company, but those prices seem "aspirational." The illustrations look great but I never saw a description of where they will be made. Are they just working with Lionsteel/Viper to make new models? That would be fine, even great, as long as it's clearly explained. Or are they being made in Scottsdale?

I’ve been watching for these, but they really need some prototypes to post and get out in the real world. Hard to look at illustrations and get a feel for the knife. Also, going to be a tough road going against established companies like Lion Steel and Viper.

I totally agree with this. Not a lot of transparency going on...

Yep! I have seen some pictures of their blades but the quality of the picture is not very good.

Shields... They need to start putting shields on these modern interpretations.
I didn't bother to click on the link, the moderns aren't my cup of tea. But the designs look good and hopefully the actual knives will look good too. Can never go wrong with more knife makers.

Agree with this, and a lot of the other comments in the thread. The drawings look nice, let's assume fit and finish is solid, nice materials. If Reate is really making them, then I'm sure they'll be quite nice--I'm actually fidgeting with a titanium Peña X-Series Front Flipper Trapper right now, and I love this thing. But a Peña X-Series slip joint would run at least $100 cheaper for something fairly similar made by the same company.

I've been following a little bit on IG, but ultimately don't know that I see the draw over other options.
