Today is a good day. No, scratch that. Today is a GREAT day!
Why, do you ask?
Well, as every knife knut knows, knew knife day is good, but knew knives day is GREAT!
After seeing a thread here awhile back, I was smitten by a GEC made Schrade 23 and 73. It gnawed away at me like only the desire for a new knife can. I hemmed and hawed, trying to tell myself it was only a passing fancy, like a high school lust.
I. Was. Wrong.
So, I bit the bullet, and decided to order, but now couldn't decide on the 23 or 73. I did what any self respecting knife knut would do, and ordered both.
Here are my feeble attempts at a somewhat appealing picture of them. I was in such a hurry to get pics up, that I just gave the blades a quick swipe with my shirt to get the oil off, and it shows.
Oh well, I guess that is why I work on people instead of being a photographer for a living.
Now, for the important stuff.
Right now, I couldn't be happier with them. They do have stout springs, but I can live with that. Blades are nice and centered, and sharp. I was hoping the bone would be a good match, as they are the same, but obviously there are some variations between them. No worries, as they will be users.
