New knife design.. What do you think?

I think I got the generic MyCrap page.
Perhaps Photobucket would be a better venue.
 
the handle is too short IMO. I don't care for the rear part of the blade either, what function would that be for?
 
You understand that anyone who doesn't have a Myspace account can't see that image, right?
 
What purpose did you have in mind for it? I imagine hunting or outdoors work is some intention since there is a guthook. I usually don't prefer a tanto point for such work. With the length it might make a decent chopper. I'd consider lowering the raised spine of the knife to be even with the handle, and drop the sawback.

I agree that the angle change at the rear of the blade in the second drawing isn't very functional.
 
the 2nd one is better but what are the specs that u plan to use...like how long is the blade, handle, ect...do u know what steel ur would use.....i sugest getting a piece of cardboard or wood and making a few out of that to get the feel of the knife..thats what i do and it helps me understand what i need to do and it becomes sort of a template....
 
On anything besides a katana, I do not like a blade that is upswept from the handle.

It is just not pleasing to the eye and for thrusting, it would tend to go against the weak part of your wrist.

Just one opinion.
