Nice work Nathan!! New papa knows how to build them. Where do you get that excellent picture!

Very nice grind and lines. Beautiful design. I'm impressed.

Steve

Thanks Steve
I took the photo myself,I bought a Nikon 4300 about 3 monts
ago and I have been playing with it.I use 3 white light that are 6500
temp and a Cocoon tent,The tent is a plastic kinda long domed shaped
with 2 hole in the front,to shoot through,it really does a good job of defusing the light,it was bought for my as a birthday present.
The back ground on the pictue is a piece of wall paper, you can go to lowes and some other places, they will give the old books to you for free,I used a Nikon 4300 on a tripod with the timer and macro on
Steve I would be more than glade to shoot a picture of my set up for you to give it a look over.

Excellent Nathan! That is beautiful. Great idea regarding the wallpaper sample books, I'm going to have to give that a run myself. ;)

What did you use for the pins besides the mosaic one? They look colored too, or is that a reflection from the wood?

Very nice, you sure have the grinding touch.

Wow! Beautiful Nathan....I have a piece of wood just like that in the shop and I have been afraid to use it because of the color...but I kinda like it...now that I see it on your knife.....:D

Nice work!! I like the finnish......what is it? I am t work so I didn't fully read your post so if what you did to the blade is in there....I'll get to it later.

I like it!

Better than my 1st one .......just finnished it this weekend....sort of ;)

Very nice Nathan! That ought to get him in the Christmas spirit....:)

Hey, congratulations on your new addition! :D

satin finnish is awsome. How did you get that look?

Nathan

Yes, please show a picture of your photo setup. I'm really interested.

I will get a picture of it tonight and send you an email
Dave
The pins are black Micarta,I put a black liner on it so
the pins match the liner.
As for the satin finish,I rough grind with a 80 grit then
I take it to a 220 then HT after HT I go in and clean up with
a worn 220 then to a x65 Norax then to a x 30 norax.
I then start off with 220 grit paper and hand rub length ways
soon as you start the length was straches you will see if there
is any left over scratches from grinding, ones you get the 220 grit
all going length was the rest is easy,I go 200, 320 then 400
to 600,I use baby oil on the blade when I start using the 320
I do my flats on the platen with a x100 norax then a x 65 norax
it gives it a nice even pattern.
I hope this will help someone out.
