I just finished this knife from a blade I've made about two months ago.

4 1/8" blade, 8 1/2" overall length
Guayacan wood handle and mokume (1010/1070/copper) guard.
Handmade leather sheath.

Amazing, beautiful knife. Great work. I do have some questions though: 1) how wide is the blade? 2) How thick is the blade? 3) What kind of tang does it have? 4) Is it available for purchase?

I checked out your website a little bit and am very impressed with the stuff you're making. My brother is actually moving to Buenos Aires in a month or two and I plan on visiting him sometime this year. Would love to see your workshop or gallery (if you have one) when I'm in town. Keep up the excellent work!

Thank you, gentlemen! :)

Here are the measures of the blade :)

Blade: 4 1/8"
Edge: 3 3/4"
Width: almost 1"
Thickness: 5/32"

Here are nice pictures of it before getting a handle. I'll get better pictures of this knife later this coming Friday.

On this thread you can see how I've made this damascus (and the other blade I've made from this, still available - this finished knife is not, it'll probably go to a biker friend of a customer of mine)

Thanks again! Send me an email when you are about to come over, I'd be happy to show you my work. All Fridays I showcase them at an artisan fair on the backyard of the Cabildo (that's a historical building, right across the park -Plaza de Mayo- from the Presidential Palace - Casa Rosada)

I love it! but one newbie question, how do you know how heat treat such a wide variety of steels?

I always take as reference the most important steel on the edge, in this case O1.

First HT was at 850C and second at 250C :)
