Well I picked up my first Strider. SMF Ranger Green Cerakote. Picked it up NIB from a fine gentleman in the exchange. I like it. Solid, no blade play, locks clean. I really eye balled this because of what I've read about Strider here and I can't find a problem. Anywho... I'm getting there with the collection. I honestly like what I have right now. I had an XM 24, but I didn't like it's condition. That brings up another thing. With the hinderer, I found out that for me, I really need a new knife. The xm24 wasn't bad, but it wasn't new. And that was all I could focus on so it had to go. I will get another one, but it will be new. Anyone else have the same problem? I've gotten knives that were pre-owned, but all NIB or darn close. So if anyone else is bored like me, take a look at what I have and throw out ideas for where to go or what to get next. From what I have you should be able to get an idea what I'm about and like. Thanks for the help and hope everyone has a great day.

Good stuff so far!

Custom folder and fixed blade.
Thanks! You know I've thought about custum, but I honestly have no idea where to start. But I want a knife that me and the maker talked about, and made for me. Also read a lot of threads about custom horror stories in GBU. I like flippers, and frame locks. Who are customs I should look into that would roughly match that?

For folders I like J. Hoover and Alan Davis. I've had one Davis and it was exceptional.

I don't know if you only buy US made or not, but I see a distinct lack of anything Italian in there. Fantoni or Lionsteel would both be worth looking at.

My axe is Wetterlings! Swedish steel! I know what you mean though. I've looked at them I'd like to get the sr1(I think?) It looks awesome. I like how the handle is a solid piece.

If you want a new custom from the maker be prepared to wait! Recently I have purchased some midtechs as they are more readily available. One I especially like is the Jason Brous T4. I pre-ordered a carbon fiber model and really like it. I admire your collection.

I like those what are they?

A. Steve Ryan Vorpal.
B. Regular Sebenza 21.
C. Benchmade AFCK with M390 and blue/black G10 (around 300 made I think).
D. Brian Tighe Tighe Rod with Damasteel.
E. That looks like DDR CUDDA MAXX or one of the Camillus versions, I don't know much about either company. Maybe someone else will be able to tell you the exact model. :)

Thanks! I'm trying to find some custom makers to check out. Even that's hard lol. And the waiting.... ZT kills me so I hope a custom would be better.

There are some sweet collaboration knives from custom makers one of my favorite sis the spyderco bob lum tanto folder.

Very nice, OP.
Look at Emerson and Daniel Fairly, Pohan Leu, for a custom.

Frame lock flippers are a big market...all of the makers in the bellow list make a frame lock flipper of some sort. Ranging from $600 to several thousand dollars. :)
