New knife locks too hard....

My new E Mini Comm is a sweet little knife, but it locks hard, and I mean hard. I have to use another hand just to close this thing because the liner lock wedges itself almost all the way under the blade. Im not pleased with this, will it go away?

Also, the wave doesnt work as well as my super karambit's wave did. I really have to be deliberate and try hard to get the wave to catch and open fully. Any advice?

Be sure to rub some pencil on the lock interface, will help a lot, then just wave it open and close it a couple hundred times in a row, that's what I did. Mine would lock like a vault to, and I could barely unlock it with both hands. After an hour of non stop open and close it's like butter now.

Beware your jeans will get ripped up if waving though! I use my fingers on the wave and flick it hard.

Or just use it like normal and wait a month or two for it wear in.

With the wave, twist the knife sideways a bit on drawing so the wave engages more securely.

The lock will seat it's self in after a short while so no worries there, just give it a good few cycles while reading the forum or what not and that will see you right in no time.

The kerambits are the knives that the wave works on the best as the blades have less distance to travel. I find giving the knife a bit of twist to help the pocket grab the blade on the other knives defo. helps the wave fire the blade out a bit better.

I've noticed "some" of my Emerson's benefit from a break in period. My cqc-7's needed it
yet my commander and a-100 didn't.
But hey, we love to play with our knives right? I spend more time dickin' with 'em than
actually using them for cutting so it works out. One helpful hint... grow a decent size
nail on your right thumb then releasing the sticky liner lock isn't so painful. :)
