My father had hip surgery several weeks ago & is still having alot of trouble with it & his lower back :( He has been deer hunting for as long as I can remember & was really wanting to go today so I got up & took him & helped him along so he could get his trip in. I also got to take my "NEW" knife I got in the mail yesterday ! LOBO by Stomper ! This knife is a Dream.... 6" blade x 2" wide x 3/16" thick ! Full tang w/ Burgundy Micarta & brass pins
Scary Sharp & a nice brindle color leather sheath ! Sweet Knife ! I didn't get to snap alot of pics but here is a few -

I love it. Great looking knife and time with your dad.
Savor these times, there aren't nearly enough of them.

The blurry pics were fine. The first pic would have been great. Too bad someone parked a toyota in the way.

Coaldigger,
Great pics. Enjoy every minute you have with your dad. Their is nothing like hunting with family. that Lobo looks like a great knfe. let us know how it performs as a deer knife. i just know with it being one of Stompers it will perform flawless.

That made me lol.

Looks like you guys had a good time, always a good thing to enjoy the outdoors with pops.

Nice stuff, coaldigger!

Man, that Lobo looks awesome. I was a bit on the fence about the thumb ramp, but the in-hand pic really demonstrates the utility. Nice!

All the best,

- Mike

Really cool pics C.D., I like the looks of the new knife. I'm thinking if I had a deep enough finger notch for the index finger I just may be able to get past needing a choil.

Just out of curiosity what kind of knife is that your dad is carrying?

Nice pics. I like my Lobo a lot. Used it to make kindling the other day and it was still sharp even after batonning a bunch of wood. Yours is purty.

It's a modified CaseXX Butcher knife...he reprofiled the blade & made it shorter & added a Guthook:thumbup: It's actually really nice & works great ! I couldn't believe he didn't bring his W49 Western  I have never seen this man on a hunting trip with out it !!! I think the weight of it on his hip was just to much :(

Great knife and awesome story of sharing time with your dad. Prayers sent for the relief of pain and a speedy recovery my friend.
