I caved in and bought another knife. I bought an Endura, FRN and plain blade. This thing is sharp, it really doesn't look sharp but it is. A very nice knife, now I just need a Dodo.

That's funny, I just received my third Spyderco today in the mailbox. An FRN handled CPMS30V blade Native. Be careful as Spydies are very addictive. I now have an Endura, Para-Military and a Native. I've got a really cool Spyderco T-shirt as well. Congratulations and welcome to the club.

Within a month of discovering them I have... er... five... six? I think... :D.

I have an Endura in FRN coming in too, but in the ATS-55... I think it's a decent steel from what I recall....

My brother has an older model Delica with the ATS-55 steel and it sharpens pretty easily and seems to hold a good edge.

I used to have a VG10 spyderedge Endura, loved it, don't remember if I traded it, sold it, whatever. But I just got a tan FRN combo edge Endura and it's awesome!

:D Likewise, I just purchased my first Spyderco the other day- Plain edged FRN Endura- It is my EDC now, really light and stays put on/in my pocket. Much easier to carry and use than my old Buck 110. It came insanely sharp, also. :D

When it comes to a folding knife that performs well above it's price point, Spyderco has to be at the top.

Yup - it can grow on you. I started with a FRN PE Delica - innocent enough - I had a little cash to burn, and thought that playing with a "super steel" blade would be neat to try. Turned out that Spydie was the way to go. I was really caught off guard as to how often I ended up using it. And then danged if a Native III didn't show up right behind it. And then I was snooping at knife shop and noticed that the Endura was pretty competitvely priced :D Now the real catcher for me here was that I accidently compared a Para Military and a Military at the same time. After playing with the Endura, I found it to be too big for most of my EDC stuff (I work in a high tech office) so that kinda put the Military out of the equation. I think..... The Para Military, though, just stuck in my mind. So....last weekend I bought it. Now it's stuck on my hip in a belt pouch. I could have ordered it and probably saved some coin, but it was one of those things with me that I have to have it right away on certain things. This was one. Just as everyone has said, it's built like a tank. I haven't cut too much with it yet, though, it sure wreaked havoc on that coffee bean bag for our coffee machine a few minutes ago :D My "Ultimate" is an Al Mar Sere 2K, but it's not one that I have to have right away. I am thinking, though, that for a larger blade if I pick up a Manix (as much as I complain about our local dealers getting new stuff in) "just to see", I'll own it first before the Al Mar.

Very few folders in a given line have struck me quite this way, but I'm sure glad I have them.

Al Mar is another manufacturer that gives you your money's worth, in my opinionated opinion. They're not cheap, but they're good. They end up being a better value than some of the so-called "value" brands. You'll love the SERE 2000. But you'll also love the Manix.

I've had 5 spydercos at once, 3 of them Caly Jrs. They ROCK! I make an effort to visit the Spydie booth at the NY shows
