I just picked this knife up new in the box for $100 from a guy off Craigslist. It’s a beautiful knife but I can’t find much info on it. Can anyone help me out? I’m wanting to use it as my new bushcraft knife do you think it will hold up? Also did I get a good deal out of it? Thanks! Edit: i have no idea how to post photos. I’ve tried everything. The knife is called a viper gianghi

Welcome to Bladeforums.

Use Imgur to post pics. And if you Google "Viper Gianghi" you'll find retail prices, steel type, and some reviews.

The Gianghi looks like a very capable knife for a variety of uses, including in the bush. Viper is a quality brand, I own one of their folders (Viper Start).

Here's a pic of the Gianghi

Thank you so much for posting the picture! I’m gonna use it in the bush! I think i got a decent deal on it. Sorry never used this forum before knife center sent me here

Thanks man, I have googled just have seen many real world reviews on it just stuff off the website. I want to use it for bushcrafting. I also have a Esee i use. I want this to replace it. Didn’t know if anyone had any reviews on it.

Yeah man $100, new in the box, i didn’t do any research on it before tho i just saw it and thought it was beautiful and the leather sheath looks hand made i knew it was a steal. I just haven’t found any real world reviews on it of people using it out in the woods or putting it through stress. The last thing i want to do is bring it out into a winter camping scenario deep in the woods and it fail on me. But i mean $180 hand made knife i think it should be ok?

Congratulations.
This is a hunting knife made of a great steel by a renowned company, so it shouldn't fail easily.
It is not designed for batoning thick wood, which the most frequent reason of knife "failures".
It will handle any other knife task a camping scenario would involve: whittle and carve pegs, stakes, sticks, create feather sticks for fire starting, cutting cordage, food prep, skinning and processing game etc.
Don't throw it, dont step on it to trst if it will hold your weight, don't baton it through thick, gnarly wood and you will be fine.
