I just got a brand new knife. I don't want to embarrass the manufacture / maker, so I won't mention them. It is a very nice knife. Simple design, will work great for what I want. It looks great, the sheath is simple, sturdy and tight.
Just one problem. The grind is way off. The edge is not even close to center of the spine. I don't think that this will effect the utility of the knife in any way. But, now that I've noticed it, it'll bug me to distraction.
So, my question is: Am I being to picky? Should I ignore it, and use the hell out of it anyways? How hard is it to center a grind? It could be a lot more difficult then I previously thought. Would this effect the performance of the knife? I'm not sure, but we have all sorts of single bevel ground knives out there. I'm personally not a big fan of "chisel ground" knives, and this thing is damn near to being one inadvertantly.
Finally, do I send it back?
