New Knife or New Look on an Old Knife?

So I've been thinking lately about getting some custom hardware for my ZT 0560BW to give it that next level of cool. However, I've also been looking at ESEE knives and have taken an interest in purchasing my first quality fixed blade. I'm specifically looking at the ESEE-4. If I go with the hardware for my ZT, I'll be doing everything but a new clip. Shipping and taxes in, the ESEE will cost me roughly $35-40 more.

So what do you guys think? I know we all love getting new knives, and I'm interested in getting into quality fixed blades. As well as EDC'ing a fixed blade when working outside. However, I also love the thought of toxic green Ti hardware on my 0560. Help!

Lastly, both of these are not must haves. It's more just a change up from buying another folder. As I already own multiple folders.

Ill only say one thing.....if you open that can of worms with the fixed blades, you'll have a drawer full in no time. Not that its a bad thing : ) But who here can not resist the call of a new direction in knife collecting? If you want to play it safe, get the hardware. If you want to expand your collection, get the ESEE 4. I've got one, they are a good knife. I used to collect only fixed, then started with ZT folders.....love them, but hard on the wallet. Maybe shouldn't have opened my own can of worms?.......naaaaah

Sounds to me like you're going to get both no matter what. So the real question is, which should you get FIRST? Do you have anything coming up soon where you would prefer to have a fixie? If not, get the pimp job done and save for the Esee.

After browsing the fixed blade market, I've decided to bite my tongue, save my pennies, and buy a Busse TGLB.
