Well, I gave in and purchased another "neck knife". I must say that I rather like this one. One-piece 440C stainless, skeletonized, friction sheath with lashing holes. The 2.5" blade was pretty sharp, but a bit thick at the edge. I thinned it out, almost like a flat grind, and now it's like a razor. I wrapped the handle in gutted OD 550 coard, and now I have a nice grip that won't abrade my hand, as well as a fob to grab. I bought a large Tek Lock and attached it since the stock sheath didn't have belt attachments. I think this will be better suited on my belt than around my neck, but that's just me.

Good price, great size, and made in America. Very nice design Chad
It rides with me when my Subcom is in my fifth pocket.

Gratz on your nice purchase, though for a necker I'd recommand the SubCom FB's lil' bro, the Edit. Much lighter and thinner, if that's what you're looking for. IIRC the SubCom FB is manufactured by Ontario, and the Edit in the Far East(PRC/ROC???)

I reshaped the edge on mine too. I now have about a 4mm wide polished convex edge on it. Much better. I alternately carry it on my belt with a Tek-Lok or in my front pants pocket with a little paracord and kydex clip/lanyard I made for it, so it doesn't lay down in my pocket. Other than the uber thick factory edge, it's a stellar little knife.

Aloha JNieporte,

Glad you are happy with the SFB! However, two things:

Did yours sport the backwards "CLB DESIGN" logo? Second, *ahem*...ya know what they say about threads without pics?:D

Pics please, and mahalo much!
God bless!!!

No backwards CLB logo, sorry. My camera is shot, so I need a new one. Then, yes, i'll post some pics. :-)

Daywalker, I just got one from a buddy that does have the backwards logo also it seems that one of the holes wasn't milled out all the way and there is some slag left in the lanyard hole. The sandblast finish was pertty trashed and discolored only on one side. I was gonna finish filing out the hole and polish the flats on the handle but after seeing your post I was wondering if i should leave it as is.

Did the tecklock just fit right on or did you have to add another whole?? I'm just wondering because i just purchased one and its on the way and i dont want to wear it as a neck knife.

What are the alternative carry options?? I'd like to preferably wear it inside the pants, will i be able to affix so sort of clip to it??

The holes were drilled for a perfect line-up. Neck carry is possible if you want an alternate option. Unfortunately, I don't know of any belt clip options.

Aloha Eycee,

Tek Lok fits without a hitch, but ya may wanna look into Mercop's carry options. Check 'em out at www.mercop.com

I got one of my MPT's attached to his MercHarness and it works great!!!

Keep us posted and God bless!

:p...so you got one of the "coolectible inverted CLB logo" SFB's, eh?:grumpy: Man alive, I dunno HOW that happened...musta been doing the lasering on a Friday afternoon.

I dunno aliloff...it is your knife, and I DO apologize for the way "it is"...but heck, maybe ya should turn it into a complete thrasher using knife!!! OR just put it aside, as I know only one run IIRC was done in this manner.

Thank God.

God bless and welcome to the madness!
