So I need a little help choosing a new blade. I just recently picked up a HK VP9 and I love this gun. It has by far the best stock striker fired trigger that I have ever shot( I think its better than the PPQ too). I am having a local guy make me a custom kydex for it as I put a stream light TLR4 laser/loght on it. I have a few benchmade blade but until now have never wanted one of their H&K branded ones. The choice is between the large axis folder and the turmoil otf. I really like my microtech ultratech but being a dagger blade its not suited for everyday stuff, hence me leaning tword the turmoil. On the other hand my Putnam scaled s30v grip is in my pocket everyday on my weak side cause its that awesome of a blade and the hk axis is very similar so im sure id love that one too. Price is a little bit of a factor as the turmoil is twice the price. but I have the money either way. help me decide

I also have a VP9 and it deserves a great blade to accompany it. I like the large axis as you stated the OTF has a more limited EDC use. It sounds like whatever you chose it will be worthy.

I like the axis. Very capable and a great value. I would trust it more if you had to use it for heavy duty tasks.
OTFs are just awesome, though.

Universal BF answer...get both!

Since you already have a similar knife, skip the Axis and go with the Turmoil. Also, take my advice and skip the TLR-4, the laser won't hold zero worth a damn...either go with the light only 3 or spring for the 2 if you really need the laser gimmick.

I have noticed that, it moves around at least an inch or so at 7 yards. oh well its already on there. I put it on there for my wife and daughters as its my living room finger safe gun. I want to put a set of Truglos new tfx sights on it. I waiting for them to tell which ones fit, I emailed them like 3 times with no answer.

Heck, you have a H&K pistol, so why not a H&K knife? The HK14715 will fit the bill nicely.

I just got the HK MP5 tanto and I LOVE it! Great grip and excellent fit and finish. Scary sharp as well.

I went with the OTF, and it's disappointing to say the least. I like it, it fires hard and it was to be a weak side carry blade so the auto is perfect for that. But I don't know if I got a bad one or I'm just to used to microtechs. The blade play in this ne is the worst in any auto I have ever seen. I'd say near .25 of an inch at the tip when open.
