I ordered this knife after having a tought decision what CQC seven model to get (waved, non waved, black, bead blasted, satin finish, tanto, spear point, mini, regular, serrated, non-serrated) I was having a hard time.
I decided spear point non waved satin serrated, but I ordered TWO OF THE SAME KNIFE by accident. I e-mailed and said I wanted one knife. Then I realized I had ordered bead blasted instead of satin finish. I e-mailed and said to cancel the order all together. (I assure you I normally don't bust knife company's balls like this)
Anyway, since then I had changed my mind all together and ordered cqc-7 waved with tanto blade satin finish serrated. I got the knife and it has since been returned to EKI for a slight adjustment.
TODAY!! I get a package in the mail..uh oh..CQC7 spear point bead blasted. Now, I am going to have to return it right?!? NOT... this knife is so beautiful (yeah I opened it) I have been walking around my house flipping it open and closing it with one hand. To make a long story short... it's mine, my own, my precious :D I am in love with this knife, please excuse the bad pic...

Great looking 7. Once you get started on Emersons it is hard to stop. In fact, I have just ordered a CQC-12 (titanium frame-lock) from Texas Tactical Supply. Great prices, by the way. I need another Emerson it like a hole in the head but that's not the point!

I hope the knife in the shop comes back as you want it. It should since EKI has a super reputation regarding customer service.

It looks like you and I are in the same boat. I have been thinking about buying an emerson CQC7-A or B. I just can't make up my mind. This would be my first Emerson I currently carry a benchmade 910 stryker and a cold steel voyager (Tanto Point). I was wondering are these knives as good as I hear they are or is it just a lot of hype? Any feed back would really help. Thanks

I've handled and used a lot of knives, maybe not as much as others on this forum, but the emerson cqc7 is just perfect. I have a tanto waved and a drop point non waved, I like the drop point alot. if you are thinking about ordering check out pvk.com they have a few different ones at a decent price...I really like the limited green handle one with the satin finish blade.
If I had to keep only one knife it would be a cqc7 drop point serrated non waved.

Thank you for the site and the advice I called and ordered a cqc7-a spear point bead blasted. That's right just like the one in your picture. I should have it in a few days I can't wait till it gets here. I will be replaceing by cold steel voyager EDC with the cqc7-a. Thanks again

you don't have to thank me (although it makes me feel good)
I hope you like it as much as I do!!
