Thanks for getting the picture problem solved Robert,
thanks Burce,I did the knife show in Memphis the weekend before last and met alot of great people like Jerry McDonald and got some new ideas, and had a great time.Did pretty good to, sold seven knives.
Again thanks for the kind words.

I'm not sure of the range where the Madrone grows, but there was a tree by that name in Oregon. It is said to be very tough with a meandering grain. Lots of people used it for firewood. :)

And if it does grow in the Pacific Northwest you might call the knife a "Umatilla Skinner" after one of the indin tribes in that part of the country.
Many times a knife will sell really well with an ndn name.

I know I spelled indin wrong, but that's the way us Oklahoma ndns say it.:p:D

Thanks for all the nice word about my knife.
YVSA, the Madrone Burl is a wood from the northwestern US
and is pretty hard but worked well, I like the idea about the
ndn :) name. Can you E-Mail me with a little more history
on the meaning of "Umatilla" and some history on the trib.
I like the way that sounds.
Thanks, Tim
